Proposes the adoption as an Australian Standard of IEC 76-1:1993, which applies to single-and three-phase power transformers, including auto-transformers, but excludes single-phase transformers rated at less than ikVA, three-phase transformers rated at less than 5kVA, and certain special transformers such as instrument, starting, testing and welding transformers, transformers for static converters and those mounted on rolling stock. Scope includes Australian variations including preferred transformer sizes, connections in general use, and connection diagram designation and drawings. Copies of IEC 76-1:1993 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office.
