Presents Bellcore's preliminary view of proposed generic requirements for operations communication functions between Operations Systems (OS) & Fiber In The Loop (FITL) systems using the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) management services & protocols defined in ISO/IEC IS 9595 (Common Management Information Service Element Definition) & ISO/IEC IS 9596 (Common Management Information Protocol), respectively. The focus of this document is to propose an information model that is to be used by the application layer as the basis for communications between OS & FITL systems in the OSI communications environment.
