This standard is included in DIN Handbook 392. Defines safety requirements for short link lifting chains, grade 8, of medium tolerance, to be used in chain slings and general lifting purposes. These chains are electrically welded round steel short link chains, heat treated and tested, which conform to EN 818-1.
