CONTAINED IN VOL. 01.04, 2008Deals with molybdenum-alloy steel plates for welded boilers and other pressure vessels. Materials are available in three grades, with different levels of strength. Maximum plate thickness is restricted only by capacity of composition to meet the mechanical requirements specified. But, current practice usually restricts plate thickness as follows: Grades A and B = 6 in. (150 mm); and Grade C = 4 in. (100 mm).
