Describes requirements for safety footwear, excluding all rubber and all plastics moulded safety footwear. Relates to safety boots and shoes for general use, heavy duty safety boots and safety clogs for general use. Includes methods of test and guidelines for assessing quality of closing. Also gives codes of practice for users of electrically conductive and antistatic safety footwear, footwear fitted with non metallic impact resistant toecaps and footwear fitted with multilayer solings.
