Specifies requirements for the approval testing of welding procedures for the MIG or TIG welding of wrought aluminium and its alloys. Supplementary tests may be required for particular applications; approval of a welding procedure to this part of this standard does not suggest that the procedure is suitable for all conditions of service. This standard's principles may be applied, if the procedure is required for welding castings, subject to agreement between the contracting parties.
