CONTAINED IN VOL. 02.01, 2005 Outlines a method for making capillary joints by soldering copper and copper alloy tube and fittings. Applies to pressurized systems such as heating, refrigeration, plumbing, air-conditioning, fire sprinkler, mechanical, and similar systems. Techniques used for joint preparation are referenced in ASME B31.5 and B31.9. It is also employed in the assembly of non-pressurized systems such as vent, waste and drainage. Assembly of electrical or electronic systems is not covered.
