Proposes the adoption of IEC 38:1983 and Amendment 1:1994 with some modifications as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard to apply to standard voltages for systems and equipment with frequencies 50 Hz and 60 Hz having a nominal system voltage above 120 V, a.c. and d.c. traction systems and rated voltages for a.c. and d.c. equipment below 120 V a.c. or 750 V d.c. Applies also to a.c. single wire earth return (swer) systems.
