Defines basic requirements for acetylene cylinders without fusible plugs or other safety devices, having a maximum nominal water capacity of 150 l. Describes methods for type testing, production batch testing and procedures for determination of the largest permitted settled pressure in acetylene cylinders together with the porosity of the porous mass. In addition, it contains requirements for filling conditions of acetylene cylinders and bundles. Does not give design details for the cylinder shell.
