Part 2D is a required Code book for accreditation under Sections I, III, VIII Div 1 or Div 2 of the 1992 edition of the Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code. It is a necessary book for those involved in the design and/or manufacture of these components. Merges into a single volume, tables of design stress values, tensile and yield strength values, and tables of material properties previously included in Sections I, III, VIII Div 1 & 2. Intended to facilitate ready identification of specific materials to specific Sections of the BPV Code, and is an editorial reformatting of existing requirements without technical change. Part D contains Appendices which include criteria for establishing allowable stress, the bases for establishing external pressure charts & information required for approval of new materials.
