Describes the test methods, the test apparatus or assembly and the preparation of test pieces for determining the following properties of pressure sensitive adhesive for electrical insulation: thickness, electrolytic corrosion, resistance to penetration at elevated temperature, flame propagation resistance, curing properties (of thermosetting tapes), tensile strength and elongation at break, adhesion, electric strength under normal and humid conditions and low temperature behaviour.
