Proposes the adoption of BS EN 207:1994 as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. This draft Standard specifies requirements, test methods and marking for filters and eye protectors for use when working with laser radiation in the spectral range 180 nm to 1000 nm. It includes guidance on selection and use of appropriate eye protectors. Comment is sought on whether differing or conflicting requirements between this draft Standard and AS/NZS 1337 are likely to cause real confusion among users and providers of the different forms of eye protectors.
