The object of type classification is to ensure uniformity of different production batches or deliveries of pressure-sensitive insulating tapes for use in electrical systems and components. For this purpose types are stipulated in the relevant table by stating the kind of the backing, the application of the adhesive and by setting minimum requirements for some properties.
