Specifies the composition, preparation, properties and application of a standard reference elastomer (SRE) made of acrylate rubber (ACM). This SRE is representative of ACM grades such as are used in the hydraulic and automotive industries for seals in contact with petroleum products. Their constituents and method of preparation ensure that they are adequately representative of the relevant material group, and their simple mix structure yields reproducible results.
