Gives outline dimensions and related loads, speeds and installation arrangements for hydraulic and electric traction lifts for the carriage of passengers and goods which comply with the requirements of BS 5655 : Part 1 and Part 2. Seven electric traction lift installations are considered: light passenger, residential, occasional passenger, general purpose passenger, intensive passenger, bed passenger, general purpose goods, heavy duty goods. Two hydraulic lifts are included: light passenger, occasional passenger.
