Concerned with internal fuses for isolation of faulty capacitor elements for permitting operation of the remaining parts of that capacitor unit, together with the bank where the capacitor is connected. Not intended to substitute for a switching device eg a circuit-breaker, or for external protection of the capacitor bank or any part of it. Intended for formulation of requirements relating to performance and testing, and for provision of a guide for coordination of fuse and bank protection.
