It includes connectivity to network services of public carriers, with reference to relevant mandatory Austel technical Standards. The substantive content of this document is a draft of EIA 568 (to be included as an appendix) which is the current North American Standard, and which is to form the basis of an ISO Standard to be promulgated in due course as an Australian Standard.
