Advises on design, installation, testing and maintenance of above ground non-pressure sanitary pipework for domestic, commercial and public buildings. Includes all pipework within or on the building including any basement(s), but excludes pipework which has entered the ground, either externally or as the result of penetrating the lowest floor level or an outer wall of the building. Excludes special requirements for hospitals, research and similar laboratories, or trade waste discharges. Also excludes pumping/ejection of effluent from appliances incapable of being drained by gravity and constraints imposed by fire hazards.
