General notes:
This standard is the subject of transitional arrangements agreed under a European Commission mandate and is intended to lead to CE marking in support of the Machinery Directive. In order to allow for any changes in national regulations, the Commission in consultation with Member States have agreed a transition period for the co-existence of EN 13157 and corresponding national standards. Therefore at the end of this period BS 3243:1990, BS 3701:1964, BS 4018:1966, BS 4344:1968, BS 4536:1970 and BS 4898:1973 will be withdrawn.

Amendment, January 2012. Amends and replaces BS EN 13157:2004
