Relates to fixed capacitors for direct current, with metallized electrodes and polycarbonate dielectric for use in electronic equipment. These capacitors may have "self-healing properties" depending on conditions of use. They are mainly for applications where the a.c. component is small with respect to rated voltage. Two performance grades of capacitors are covered, Grade 1 for long-life application and Grade 2 for general application. Gives preferred ratings and characteristics and selects from specification CECC 30000 appropriate quality assessment procedures, tests and measuring methods and describes general performance requirements. Excludes capacitors for radio interference suppression which are covered by IEC 384-14.
