Defines general requirements for components eg pipes, fittings and manholes with joints intended for use in discharge pipes, drains and sewers operating as gravity systems with possible pressure not in excess of 40 kPa. Gives general basis for preparing or revising product standards, but does not apply to the evaluating of products. Applies as a reference for drawing up a product specification if no product standard is available.
