The object of the testing is to determine the low-temperature breakage according to Section 2 of non-rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) films up to a maximum thickness of 0.5 mm and PVC cellular material films up to a thickness of 2 mm. This temperature reading serves only as a guide and is intended to enable comparisons, e.g. of several products, with regard to breakage behaviour at low temperatures. Owing to the many different types of stress encountered under practical conditions the results of the test specified cannot necessarily be applied to any application forms and conditions.
