Proposes the adoption of IEC 383-2:1993 as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. IEC 383-2:1993 specifies procedures for electrical and mechanical tests on insulators of ceramic material for glass or use on a.c. overhead power and traction lines with a nominal voltage greater than 100 Hz. It applies to insulator strings and sets. Copies of IEC 383-2 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office or at Standards New Zealand.
