Gives technical requirements and test methods for cold setting, warm setting and hot setting gap filling adhesives based on phenolic and aminoplastic synthetic type resins with or without additional hardeners, used in the manufacture of wooden structures and assemblies. Properties are determined by tests on beechwood joints. Includes selection of test slips, methods of preparing gap and close contact joint test pieces, method of curing and conditioning the joints, method for determination of failing force, resistance to cold water, resistance to hot water, resistance to micro organisms, moisture content and tabular summary of requirements.
