CONTAINED IN VOL 04.08, 2005Gives methods to determine water (moisture) content of soils by drying soil in a microwave oven. The test can be used in place of Test Method D 2216 when faster results are required to hasten other phases of testing and less accurate results are acceptable.Test Method D 2216 should be the referee method, when questions of accuracy between this test method and Test Method D 2216 arise. The test procedure covers most soil types.
