CONTAINED IN VOL 15.09, 2005 Specifies guidelines for the U.S. three-piece steel and tin-plate aerosol cans of necked-in and straight-wall design, in the interests of quality and uniformity. Makers agreed to comply with the guidelines and were involved in their development. Standard methods and gages were also developed for uniformly determining specific dimensions. Tolerances identified for these dimensions permit can manufacturing and filling process variations. Gives a listing of currently manufactured aerosol can sizes and industry voluntary dimensional guidelines.
