Gives a method for determining the water absorptiveness of sized paper and board and corrugated fibreboard, under standard conditions. It may not be suitable for paper of grammage less than 50 square g/m or embossed paper and is unsuitable for porous papers. Does not provide precise evaluation of the writing properties of paper but it does generally indicate suitability for use with aqueous inks.
