Applies to high temperature water central heating systems which are protected against exceeding a pressure of 0.5 atu (atm.). It covers both gravity-circulated and pump-assisted systems. Excluded from it are closed type systems which come within the scope of DIN 4751 Sheet 2 when they meet the requirements laid down in that standard.
