Gives a method of verification of testing machines to determine Rockwell hardness (scales A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-K) in accordance with ISO 6508. Describes a direct verification method for checking the main functions of the machine and indirectly can be used on its own for periodic routine checking of the machine in service.If a testing machine is to be used also for other methods of hardness testing, it shall be independently verified for each method.
