Applies to connecting devices intended for permanent junction and or tapping of internal installations (including connecting devices from these internal installations to fixed appliances) using copper conductors with a rated voltage not exceeding 1000V a.c. or 1200V d.c. and a nominal cross section not exceeding 35mm squared, by which electrical energy is utilized for lighting, heating, household and handicraft applications or similar general use, and to connecting devices intended for ensuring junction, tapping or both together from the above internal installations to fixed installation appliances. May also apply as a guide for preparation of specifications of terminals for accessories having other functions, for example, switches, sockets etc.
