Proposes procedures for calculating performance of airconditioners of the vapour compression type up to a rated cooling capacity of 65 kW,for minimum energy performance standard requirements. It covers only those units with a single refrigeration circuit with one evaporator and one condenser. It does not cover multiple split appliances or evaporative coolers. This Standard sets out a method of determining the performance of airconditioners using a combination of measured component performance, equipment operating conditions and a mathematical model to determine the appliance performance.Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
