METHOD FOR CONVERTING ELONGATION VALUES FOR STEEL - CARBON AND LOW ALLOY STEELS
出版:British Standards Institution

专家解读视频
Gives a method of converting percentage elongations after fracture obtained on various proportional and non-proportional gauge lengths to other gauge lengths. The formula on which the conversions are based, is considered reliable when applied to carbon, carbon manganese, molybdenum and chromium molybdenum steels. Not applicable to cold reduced steels, quenched and tempered steels, or austenitic steels. Whilst the conversions are considered to be reliable within the limitations and may generally be used for acceptance purposes, because of the various factors influencing the determination of percentage elongations, in cases of dispute the elongations shall be determined on the gauge length stated in the relevant material specification.
