This document is a Handbook to NZS 5828:2004. It is intended for use in conjunction with the Standard and does not replace it or add new material to that covered within the Standard. The aim is rather to present the key safety information in everyday terms. The Handbook gives examples, recommendations and commentaries as guidance and includes inspection checklists based on a risk management framework to assist in establishing inspection, and maintenance processes to identify and address playground risk.
