Gives recommendations and requirements for the practical implementation of software product evaluation with the evaluation being conducted in parallel with the development and carried out by the developer. It may be used in particular to apply the concepts described in ISO/IEC 9126-1,2,3 and ISO/IEC 14598-1,2,6. This part is meant for application at the project level. To get the full benefit from this standard there should be involvement with the organization and this is covered in ISO/IEC 14598-4. Does not prescribe specific indicators, metrics or any particular development method.
