CONTAINED IN VOL. 13.01, 2001 Defines basic requirements for tracheostomy tubes made of rubber, plastic materials, or both; with inside diameters larger than 5.0 mm. The design of these tubes is primarily for adult patients who may need artificial ventilation, anesthesia or other respiratory support, but does not need to be restricted to these uses. Specialized tubes are not covered.
