Gives the limits of defects for the classification by appearance of the surfaces of panels of plywood for general use. The limits of the permitted defects are defined separately for plywoods with outer piles of temperate hardwood, tropical hardwood and coniferous species. This Part of BS 6566 is applicable to raw plywood for general use as originally manufactured and as defined in BS 6566 : Part 2, including sections on assessment for classification, limits of defects, repairs, limits on number of categories of defects and requirements for joints.
