This publication also bears a QC number. This number QC 301200 is the specification number in the IEC Quality Assessment System for Electronic Components (IECQ). Relates the fixed capacitors with metallized electrodes and polypropylene dielectric for use in electronic equipment. The maximum power to be applied is 500VAR at 50Hz and the maximum peak voltage is 2500V. Capacitors for radio interference suppression are not included, but are covered by Publication 384-1. Prescribes preferred ratings and selects from Publication 384-1 (1982) the appropriate Quality Assessment procedures, tests and measuring methods and gives general performance requirements for this type of capacitor.
