Applicable to enquiries regarding standardized valves and to orders for and deliveries thereof. Together with DIN 3230 Part 2, which deals with requirements, it is applicable in conjunction with the provisions of existing standards on the subject. Where appropriate, it also applies to non-standardized valves or to standardized valves which have to meet special requirements in accordance with regulations, the rules of engineering practice or standards, in cases where this has been agreed.
