Describes household electric dishwashers for washing and rinsing dishes and cutlery, with or without means for water heating or drying. Excludes dishwashers designed for industrial or commercial purposes and dishwashers used in locations where special conditions prevail. Dishwashers used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary. Attention is drawn to the fact that in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national authorities responsible for health and water supplies, and for the protection of labour.
