CONTAINED IN VOL. 15.01, 2006Covers the methods of determining the consistency of a castable using the Ball-in-Hand Test. It is applicable to regular weight castable refractories and insulating castable refractories, which are defined in Classification C 401. It is also applicable to castables containing metal fibres.
