Specifies the requirements for and the classification of, dental inlay casting wax, together with the test methods to be used to determine compliance with these requirements. Applies to inlay casting wax used in making patterns in the production of crowns and inlays. The wax consists essentially of resins, natural waxes and hydrocarbons of the paraffin series. Coverage includes test methods, sampling, and packaging and marking. Also includes detailed diagrams.
