Specifies general and safety requirements for electronic ballasts for use on a.c. supplies to 1000v at 50Hz or 60Hz with operating frequencies deviating from the supply frequency, associated with tubular fluorescent lamps and other tubular fluorescent lamps for high frequency operation. Applies to the safety of such equipment designed to be installed on branch circuits (maximum 750 V) and used in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1.
