Lays down a method for the sensory evaluation of samples which are ordered into a sequence. The method is applicable for the rapid classification of products, e.g. on the basis of kind and characteristic or intensity of individual attributes, attribute properties (attribute components) or of the overall impression, and for the training and selection of assessors. Application of this method is particular recommended when samples have to be screened for other test methods or an evaluating test using a scale is too elaborate. Among other factors, the influence of differences in the raw product, production, processing, treatment, packaging and storage can be determined.
