The purpose of the compression test is to assess the strength properties and deformation properties of rigid cellular plastics during single-axis compression tests. The compression test is carried out at constant speed of deformation on specimens, which are taken from cellular plastic products. The structure of cellular plastics can collapse suddenly or gradually under compressive stress or can be crushed without any sign of collapse.
