Defines the main characteristics of a.c. generators under the control of their voltage regulators when used for reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) engine driven generating set applications and supplements the requirements in IEC 34-1. Describes the use of such generators for land and marine use, but does not include generating sets used on aircraft or for propelling of land vehicles and locomotives.
