CONTAINED IN VOL. 10.02This method is used to estimate the amount of volatile organic compounds emitted during cure of electrical insulating varnishes.Values stated in SI units are the standard. At present there is not a consensus standard designed determine the VOC content of electrical insulating varnishes. Provisional status was determined necessary due to increasing amounts of certain types of electrical insulating varnishes being used. Methods available for determination of VOC content do not give an accurate assessment of the VOCs emitted in actual use of these types.
