CONTAINED IN VOL 04.08, 2005Deals with preparation, apparatus, test method and data reduction to determine the in situ modulus of deformation of rock mass employing the flexible plate loading procedure. To be carried out in an adit or small underground chamber, but with appropriate modifications it can be carried out at the surface. Usually carried out perpendicular or parallel to the axis of thrust as dictated by the design load.
