Provides requirements for paints in containers used as markings on bituminous and concrete surfaces and capable of retaining a surface layer of reflectorizing glass beads to improve the visibility of the markings at night. They are specified for 12 months' and 16 months' use. Suitable for white, yellow and black paints. Excludes compounds formulated to comply with BS 3262. Includes test panels, retention of solid glass beads, determination of luminance factor, resistance to grit abrasion, assessment of sheen, no pick-up time test, bleeding, diesel fuel, salt solution, determination of skid resistance and degree of erosion, information on road performance trials and their control and information to be supplied by the purchaser.
