Describes a minimum standard of construction in stress-graded timber for conventional timber-framed single-storey and two-storey buildings for given design criteria and loads. Requirements are given for sub-structure, floor framing and flooring, wall framing, roof framing and fixing requirements. Guidance is given on storage and handling of timber, site preparation and platform floor construction. The 22 supplements, giving stress grades of various timbers, form an integral part of the Standard but are published separately except for Supplements 0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 and 15 which are bound with this Standard.
