Proposes the adoption of IEC 60947-4-2:1999 as an Australian/New Zealand Standard to supersede AS 3947.4.2-1997. Applies to controllers and starters intended to be connected to circuits, the rated voltage of which does not exceed 1000 V a.c. and which uses power semi-conductor switching elements for simple starting and stopping, manoeuvring and controlled running of induction motors.
